Has Baseball Learned It's Lesson?

It's almost laughable that in this day and age with all the technology at our disposal baseball has no instant replay policy. With millions of dollars on the line the sport still relies on the imperfections of the naked eye. Every other major sport is resigned to the fact that human error can be detected and overturned with the benefit of slow motion replay. There is too much at stake and the process is too easy to continue with this nonsense. How many calls have to get blown before baseball changes its ways? We've already seen the results of a world series and a perfect game compromised by the bad judgment of umpires. It's unfair to put those men in the position of defending themselves against angry mobs that have the benefit of seeing the play unfold frame by frame. It is not a question of if umpires make mistakes but when. To protect the integrity of the game baseball must change its ways or risk the possibility of an all out revolt from their fan base. It's one thing to watch your team lose on the field fair and square, it's something totally different to watch them lose because of bad officiating. Do the right thin Bud Selig.
