Los Angeles Lakers vs. Chicago

When the Chicago Bulls face the Los Angeles Lakers tonight they're only 3 1/2 games out of first place in the Eastern conference.  They get it done with their defense as they eagerly await the return of superstar Derrick Rose.  Conversely the Lakers have lost 8 of their last 10 (5 straight on the road) and are 3 games back for the 8th seed in the west.  The Lake Show suffered an embarrassing defeat last night to the Toronto Raptors and there seems to be no end in sight to their futility.  Mike D'Antoni clearly has not been the remedy for the problems in Los Angeles.  Look for the Bulls to roll in this one.

Washington vs. Portland

The Washington Wizards have a nice young back court with John Wall and Bradley Beal, but the team is still a work in progress.  The Portland Trailblazers are playing .500 ball clinging to the 8th spot in the Western conference.  Rookie Damian Lillard has been the teams bright spot, but he will have his hands full tonight in Rip City.  The Blazers will win, but this game will be closer than you think.
