Houston vs. New Orleans
When the Houston Rockets face the New Orleans Hornets tonight it's a contest between two streaking teams. Surprisingly the Hornets have won 7 of their last 10 games and point guard Greivis Vasquez is currently 3rd in the league in assists. They are not the pushovers they once were. Surprisingly the Rockets have lost 8 of their last 10 games and the lone bright spot has been James Harden. Harden is currently 5th in the league in scoring and the Rockets will need that to continue if they want to hold onto the 8th playoff spot in the Western conference. I think the Hornets will get this one.
San Antonio vs. Dallas
The San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks is not a rivalry this season. The Spurs franchise is a model of consistency sustaining greatness for over a decade. Not sure Tony and Timmy can play at a high level much longer, but for now they're tied for the best record in the NBA. Conversely the Dallas Mavericks are in rebuilding mode. Dirk Nowitzki is getting up there in age and the team looks nothing like the squad that won the championship in 2011. Their pride keeps them competitive, but the Spurs ae on a different level. Tony and Timmy will roll tonight.
